What are QR codes?
QR codes (quick-response) are 2-D barcodes. Because they are 2-D, they are able to hold much more information than a standard barcode. A smart-phone can scan or “read” the QR code and link to digital content or prompt the user to allow automatic input of contact information, event details and much more.
What can QR codes do for my business?
Applying a QR code to your business collateral creates an interactive experience for the consumer. Businesses can share important, informative content with their customers in the form of a video, a pdf, or through a customized landing page. A QR code can even be created that prompts customers to “like” a Facebook page. Additionally, businesses can grow their email databases by offering a coupon or special discount when the customer chooses to “opt-in” after scanning the QR code.
